Zeitgeist - The Movie

Full Production (including the 'Overture'). What does Christianity, 911 and The Federal Reserve have in common?

Zeitgeist was created as a not for profit expression to inspire people to start looking at the world from a more critical perspective and to understand that very often things are not what the population at large think they are. The information in Zeitgeist was established over a year long period of research.

ZEITGEIST: Brilliant documentary. A must see! More important than LOOSE CHANGE , SICKO, or Aaron Russo's newest - this shows the fraud and manipulation on a global scale. Not only the defeat of the American state - but the larger manipulation and control of world society in the past, present and projected future -
Watch the ENTIRE documentary!

It's true, good and effective documentary. I've always wonder when are filmmakers willing to make a movie about the fraud christianity. It's so evident, it's so easy. At least, just put all the easy-to-spot pieces together and the evidences already speaks for themselves.
In this doc, I found Part I to be the most interesting. The conspiracies are always going to be controversial, whilst part I isn't. I wish I can just sit Christians down to have these images and words fed into their head. Their ignorence and blatant stupidity would go away, for the very least.
In addition, a Christian should make a movie supporting Chritianity too. I would like to see the other side of the argument, but they just aren't shown (because there are none). Can't some really smart Evangelical come out to defend and debate their belief? We're living in the 21st Century here. Come on!

Waste of time. The"documentary" shifts all over the place. It started off decently, but then shifted over to the basic attack against Bush. Turns to be a bash against the "evil" republicans, oil companies, and FOX news. This guy needs to get a life instead of trying to promote his liberal agenda by smashing all the conspiracy stereotypes into one all encompassing documentary. This is actually full of more half truths than anything Michael Moore has put out. Peace

Refreshing and relevant. Highly recommended for those choking to death on the foul air of Corporate controlled news and media. Highly recommended for those whom choose to THINK. Of course, if your content as sheep feeding upon the conservative fodder from Fox News or if your rich, then don't bother to watch. This film exposes the myths, misinformation and propaganda that plaque our republic. Yes, its true, we are still serfs.

Of course you would remain anonymous. the fear of opening your eyes fuels your fear to put your name e-mail or any aspect of who you are connected to your very typical sounding spinster talk.

The attack on Christianity in Part 1 of Zeitgeist is really unfortunate – unnecessarily marring an otherwise interesting production. It’s fair to say that many organised religions have been a blight on mankind’s existence for millennia, but it’s completely missing the point of Christ’s ministry to lump those who follow Jesus of Nazareth in with any of the formal, works-based belief systems.

Zeitgeist quotes that certain pagan gods had similarities with the life of Christ, but the producers’ sources are conspicuous by their absence: 12 disciples? A ministry beginning at age 30? The 12th year of the god being of significance? (etc., etc…) I think most Christians who have a little more than a passing interest in their Faith are well aware that Constantine of Rome blurred the lines between the Gospel as championed by the early (persecution-weary) followers of Christ, and the pagan religious beliefs and ceremonies which date back to Nimrod’s day and his tower of Babel (see “The Two Babylons” by Alexander Hyslop for in-depth documentation – now available in the public domain online: http://philologos.org/__eb-ttb/). It would be foolish to try and claim certain customs which have become associated with the Church since Roman times, such as Christmas (tying in a highly unlikely 25th December birth date of Jesus; Yule logs; evergreen tree decoration; and sun worship) and Easter (which, by popular secularist tradition, now only seems to draw attention AWAY from the Passover and Resurrection celebrations, due to it’s derivation from Babylonian paganism – the goddess “Ishtar”; bread buns; rabbits and painted eggs, and so on). But I must say, the other tenuous links to early paganism mentioned in Zeitgeist are new to me! I’m not suggesting the producers just made them up to suit their own agenda, or to give their intro added “wow!” factor. I’m merely interested to know WHO told them this was true in the first place, because, as we know from 9/11, you can’t always accept what people tell you to be straight up n’ down TRUTH! There are many counterfeit “deities”, but there is only ONE authentic original. And even before Christ came, knowledge had long been provided of what His life would involve that could have been intercepted by enemies of God, to mount a challenge to the genuine Messiah in advance. According to the Bible, Satan – the great deceiver, and prolific counterfeiter – has been actively distorting the truth and seeking to detract worship from his Creator (and on to himself, if possible) since before the first homosapien walked the earth. Then again, if we don’t believe in God, why would we believe in Satan, eh?

Now I know that not everyone is going to accept Jesus IS God himself in the flesh – regardless of films like Zeitgeist or it’s evangelical counterparts. My fear is that some people who have newly come to believe in Christ will not have had time to mature in their faith, and will therefore be susceptible to the (IMHO) dangerously slanted journalism in Part 1 of this film. If anyone in this vulnerable situation happens to be reading this – fear not! There is NO real threat here to the truth as detailed in the early Hebrew and Greek scriptures. For instance, the similarity between the (relatively modern language) English nouns “sun” and “son” are irrelevant in the languages used by the Jews: “Sun” in Hebrew is “Shemesh” (שמש), while “Son” is “Ben” (בן). “Sun” in Koinonia Greek is “Helios” (ἥλιος), while “Son” is “Huios” (υἱός).

It is my belief (and it continues to stand up to great bombardment from those who’d like to strip me of my beliefs!) that the Word of God, as found in the Holy Bible, simply could NOT have been contrived by mere human intellect, nor even by the computers of today. This collection of 66 books, by 40 authors, written over 1500 years, between 3 separate continents, that sat for years in my bookcase gathering dust, is an intricate communication from a superior intelligence located outside our own time domain. It details the past, present and future; it’s prophecies (approx. 30% of the text) have a 100% success rate so far, as confirmed by secular historians; and even as I type, more of these prophecies are being fulfilled around the world. Moreover, this fascinating collection of ancient books and letters is crammed full of micro and macro codes which work cohesively to reveal far more than first meets the eye, especially without any supernatural illumination. But don’t just take my word for it – and don’t dismiss it off-hand without investigation. I recommend you take the time to listen to the following series of studies which really hone in on the much-overlooked extra dimensions to God’s dictated messages:

Manakorn asked a very good question: “Can't some really smart Evangelical come out to defend and debate their belief?” Thankfully, there are already many out there – good, theologically-sound Christian apologists, who are more than happy to give logically-solid reasons for the hope that’s within them. The Creator of the universe certainly doesn’t expect us to accept Him by blind faith – He provided us with plenty of evidence, which at the same time disproves much of the man-made alternative philosophies and hypotheses. But it does take an inquisitive mind to search out these truths, and it’ll never happen if we let our hardened hearts, and preconceived notions of the truth hold us back.

I’m encouraged that Manakorn would at least be willing to entertain the “other side of the argument…”, since an open mind is a great asset in this world of continuous speculation. I make this point despite being a bit surprised at the next part of the same sentence: “…but they just aren't shown (because there are none)”!

Cheers!

Isn't this what the Christian Doctrine states, to believe and faith (in something one can not prove to be true). Even representitives from the Vatican encouraged people to remain faithful in the face of Pope John Paul II proclaiming the "heaven in the sky and hell under the Earth" being a myth!!???

The entire first part of the zeitgeist movie is completely fictional and easily debunked. It was obviously composed as an attack on religion and came off as a pretty stupid one while trying to pass lies and unsubstantiated claims off as facts.

Why are people afraid to admit the truth about christianity? i think one of the worst things we ever did was pretend god can take the form of a human. it's so egotistical as a species. god is greater than a single human being.
